Implement National Women Development Policy soon

Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BNWLA) called on the council of advisers to take necessary steps to implement the National Women Development Policy 2008 immediately on March 12, 2008.

In a statement, Executive Director of the Association Adv. Salma Ali hailed the chief adviser and the women affairs adviser for formulating the policy.

But any delay in taking necessary steps to implement the policy might create obstacles to achieving the main objectives of the policy, she said.

The association expressed its hope that the policy would greatly help the elected government implement programmes for the development and empowerment of women.
