Violence Against Women Bangladesh 2006-2007 is the sixth annual report which was compiled with a purpose to illustrate the present forms of violence against women, highlighting backdrop of resent legislation together with definitions and the number of reported cases in which the emerging trend in this specific type of violence is shown. These trends clearly show that whilst some forms of violence have declined such as wife abuse, others have noticeably increased or rather have been given recognition legal such as divorce rate where a failure in marriage is considered equal to failure as a woman. This issue is discussed in chapter 4: Comparative Analysis of Violence Against Women in last 5 years. Therefore, essential enforcements at Governmental level together with enforcement at different levels of the society are recommended at the back of the outline of the report.
