BNWLA aims to contribute to the legal and economic empowerment of working women through its project on " Women Rights and Economic Empowerment ". As a part of this project BNWLA conducted a study: Existing Laws On Informal Sector for Women Labour in Bangladesh. This study gives a brief overview of the existing laws on informal sector, reviews the work done by government, national and international bodies, organization of home based workers in various countries and lastly recommends various mechanisms to protect the rights of women labor in the informal sector. BNWLA believes that this study will serve the purposes of various audiences, donors and their counterparts, women's organizations, Non Governmental Organizations and research and training institutions.
